Not to be a downer but football season is over at this point. Sure we get one more game but the is weeks away and if I am anything, I’m a realist. It’s over. There’s a going away party on a Sunday in two weeks is how I see it. We gamblers need action daily so we need to spend our energy on basketball and hockey. Those are the sports that are going to get us by for the next few months.
Loyola Chicago TTO 69 * Fanduel
Smart people leave the fate of their finances to teenagers throwing a ball at a basket. We know this already. But tonight, this group of teenagers should score all over Bradley. They played yesterday and that game should have been worse but Loyola Chicago beat them so bad in the first half that they slowed up in the second. I doubt that happens tonight and if they are even somewhat decent from three-point land, they’ll hang 70+ with ease.
#Loyola used a fast start to build a 20-point lead and then held off a late rally to knock off Bradley, 69-56, on Sunday for its fifth straight win!

Nikola Vucevic Over 33.5 Points + Rebounds (Fanduel)
Honestly I am hoping Aaron Gordon sits but even if he doesn’t, I think I’m good here. I know it’s a back to back situation but I don’t think that affects Vucevic. In his last two second game of a back to back situation, he went for 30+ points and 10+ rebounds in each game. I’m not saying he likes the situation but I’m not not saying it either.
Big-time double-double from @NikolaVucevic.

Wayne Ellington Over 12.5 Points (+102) (Fanduel)
This is where things could start going sideways but that’s never stopped me before. Ellington has been on fire for the past couple games but the books did the thing where they put a (+) in front of his odds and now I am interested. He has been on absolute fire from behind the arc lately so we know that won’t keep up. The thing is, he could end up taking 11-12 shots tonight in a pace up spot so he doesn’t even need to hit 3s at the rate he has enjoyed recently. I still kind of hope he just hits all his threes again though.
.@wayneellington came in tonight hitting 17 of 30 from the 3-point arc over the previous 3 games.
The 17 made triples over a 3-game stretch tied a franchise record held by Dumars, Mills, and Houston.
The 4-game record now is Ellington’s alone as he made 4 more in 6 attempts. 💪 pic.twitter.com/YWqZ1nXs9O

Myles Turner Over 21.5 Points + Rebounds (Fanduel)
I wanted to play Malcolm Brogdon again because I think yesterday was a fluke. It was early and he was probably hung over still from the night before. You know how it is. Do you know who wasn’t hung over? Myles Turner. He’s an animal and since Victor Oladipo left town, he’s been a scoring machine. He’s gone for 22+ points in each game he played since the Oladipo trade and I would expect him to keep getting rowdy out there.
A season-high 25 PTS for Myles Turner and 6 rejections 🚫

PJ Dozier Over 10.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists (Fanduel)
Bench guys never get any love and that stops right now, right here in this blog. One of my favorite bench guys is PJ Dozier. Obviously I want this game to turn into a blowout but if it doesn’t, I still think he gets there. This is one of those bets that I will forget I made and then be like “oh shit, I got Dozier tonight” when I see he hit this in the the second quarter as I’m watching Netflix and scrolling through the Score app. It’s an underrated feeling. You should try it.
Asked PJ Dozier what guys he tries to emulate across the NBA: "I could give you a couple names prior to me being at the NBA level, but now that I'm here, I want to be PJ Dozier. I don't really feel like there's another person in the league that's like me."

Marcus Smart Over 23.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists (Fanduel)
I am a Marcus Smart guy. I just am. He’s one of my favorite players in the NBA and his spot tonight is perfect. It’s a pace up spot for the Celtics and they will be without Kemba Walker and Payton Pritchard. Smart should play a little point guard and you know he is going to be taking extra shots without Walker around. Jayson Tatum is expected back but his minutes could be limited after being out for so long. Even if he plays his normal minutes that could help Smart’s assist. Honestly, Smart could get this in points alone.
Marcus Smart’s hustle is simply the best in the NBA right now pic.twitter.com/bwnZzj0drs
